This is not a play space

Some elements may welcome participation, but this will never be expected or required for your full enjoyment of the event.

Consent is key - We will ask for yours and you will ask for ours. Anything short of an enthusiastic YES, is a no.

No Kinkshaming. No Bodyshaming. All identities, backgrounds and presentations are welcome. Dress comfortably, enter curious and open your mind to a world of wonder, horror, joy, fascination and what it is to be human.

THE CUCK CHAIR

One Seat per show at each of our weekly CabErotiQ events. You will get the best seat in the house for watching the action unfold

Strictly NO interaction.

We know you like it that way.

Mobility

The Grand Opening event takes place over 2 levels at Speakeasy with staircase access with handrails only to enter the main theatre and the vault.

The regular CabErotiQ events take place in the downstairs theatre only and can be accessed off a laneway with prior notice - however the door opens over the curb so there is one step. There is a small half step down into the performance space as well.

The only toilets at the venue are located in the upstairs level and as this is a heritage building there are odd steps and levels throughout the building.

The bar has full QR code access so purchases can be made from your seats.

For a fully Wheelchair accessible show - we reccomend FAT CABARET at Theory Bar on September 19!

Sensory

There will be a live band in the upstairs area for the Grand Opening - where the market will also take place. The Vault will have some music playing during performances and scenes but it will not be at an extreme volume. Most of our artists experience sensory overwhelm so the events are kept to a level that is typically comfortable for theatre-goers.

There may be haze used upstairs, and we try to avoid most strobe effects but the capacity exists and sometimes the tech desk gremlins throw some in for mischief.

Regular events will include a lot of spoken elements alongside performances with music. We are hoping to explore shows themed around other sensory experiences beyond the visual and we are always happy to give  information about what to expect for each week's lineup.

Some acts may be designed to replicate bodily functions so you may encounter simulation urine, feces, and gore at CabErotiQ shows.

Comfort

CabErotiQ events strive to ensure everyone has a seat available at all times. There will be intermission breaks and during the Grand Opening vault ticket holders are encouraged to come and go as they wish during the long scenes at the beginning of the event.

You are not required to meet any dress standards. We want this to be as relaxed for attendees as possible.

Respect for our performers is paramount, and it will be up to their discretion whether they are comfortable talking 1 on 1 after shows. If you would like more information you can speak to the hosts or contact CabErotiQ on instagram after the show and we will do our best to answer any questions you have!
